Pharos Life Corporation (PLC) was founded by John Kennedy in 2003 with a mission to research, develop and commercialize technologies and therapies that utilize light to improve wellness and quality of life. Now the number one manufacturer of home-use light therapy products in the world, the company has developed several different products for skincare and wellness solutions. PLC founder John Kennedy has made a lifelong career of his interest and passion with light – its effect on our environment and its effect on our health. Beginning in 1979 with the founding of a lighting maintenance, distribution, design and manufacturing firm John moved on to found EFOS Inc. in 1982. Under John’s leadership, EFOS was a pioneer in the field of photo-activated chemistry. The company had the first patents in the use of light emitting diodes for photo-polymerization of composite materials used in restorative and cosmetic dentistry.
