In the ancient tradition, we select, inspect and sort the grapes by hand. It's the only way we can ensure they're perfect, and perfectly ripe. When we're satisfied, we choose the best crushing, pressing and fermenting techniques to extract their flavour and texture.
We ferment our wine traditionally, with the finest yeasts, and mature it in predominantly French oak barrels. But we also use modern equipment, such as a sophisticated peristaltic pump, to protect the wine and preserve its distinctive regional character.

Malivoire currently farms four vineyards within the Niagara Peninsula Viticultural Area, in two Sub-designations: the Moira, Estate and Eastman vineyards on Beamsville Bench, and the Epp vineyard on Twenty Mile Bench. Malivoire owns the Moira and Estate vineyards and farms the Epp and Eastman vineyards under lease.

From Grapes to the Winery. Mountain Road Wine Company started with the establishment of its first vineyards in 1983 by owner and winemaker Steve Kocsis on a farm originally purchased by his parents Andy and Klara in 1958. Thirteen and a half acres of Chardonnay, Gamay Noir and Vidal vines were planted on the sloping terrain of the Beamsville Bench. As the vines matured to express the unique soil and aspect of the vineyard, the grapes became more and more sought after by various local wineries.

Niagara Presents is a community based network that provides co-operative product development, marketing and distribution support to independent Niagara-based growers and processors of specialty foods.
The network began preserving Niagara's bounty in 1997 by assisting home-based processors to market their products through Christmas gift baskets. From these humble beginnings, the network grew quickly to the point where demand soon outgrew the production capacity of home kitchens.
In 1999 Niagara Presents' commercial kitchen and retail showroom were constructed in the grower-owned Jordan Frozen Foods building in Jordan Station. Processors now have access to a government-inspected facility in which they can formulate, prepare, bottle, and label their cherished products.
