SUMMARY So you have a medical device or some research equipment made and ready to sell, but you find the market is not what you expected it to be. Do you find yourself asking "Whats an exploding market for me to distribute in?"
The Golden Horseshoe Biosciences Network hosted the Chinese Market Information Session on November 5th, 2008. The event had Hao Wu and Timothy Fung of Sinamed Consulting present to our guests the benefits of investing in China. The market is literally booming with an annual import growth rate of 16%.
Sinamed had some really surprising numbers and facts to present during the event, and they also have some really interesting connections with a number of highly regarded Tier 3-A Hospitals in China. These kinds of hospitals are the most funded, and therefore have the highest use of foreign (Canada, USA, Europe) devices with a focus on quality and brand name.
The event itself was a great networking experience. Below you can download the Power Point presentation containing all the figures discussed during the talk. Those who attended also walked away with some highly paid numbers from the China Ministry of Health.
