On September 26, 2008, GHBN, along with OGI, Mohawk College, and McMaster University, hosted Dance N' Action in the park at Gore Park in Hamilton Ontario. The event was used to bring forth awareness of National Biotech Week in Canada. The day was full of spectators interested in the event with our dancers, poets, and musicians. The idea brought across was a way to incorporate the arts of dance, poetry, and music into the sciences of biotechnology and genes. The event was a great success in doing so, and with its success, it was followed by a similar performance the day after in Metro Square of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
You can see a number of pictures below from the event. We had visitors from as far as Halifax and even Alberta. A number of volunteers were also asked to join in the dancing, and those that did received free National Biotech Week t-shirts.
