Dr. David Sparling (+) view larger picture
David Sparling is Associate Dean of Research and Graduate Studies in the College of Management and Economics at the University of Guelph in Canada. In 2006 and 2007 he was the Executive Director of the Institute of Agri-Food Policy Innovation, examining issues related to agriculture and food policy.
He has published and spoken frequently on the future directions of agriculture and food and the coming mega-changes in the role of the industry and shifts in food production and pricing. He has consulted widely for governments and industry associations. David has also been president of a farming company, an agri-business insurance company and a biotechnology start-up. He is an internationally recognized authority on issues related to food policy, agri-food supply chains and commercializing new technologies.
David is a Senior Associate at the University of Melbourne and has taught at the Australian Graduate School of Management in Sydney. source of info
