McMaster Biosciences Incubation Centre (MBIC)
Our Mission
We’ve made it our mission at MBIC to ensure that our occupants are given the best possible opportunity to capture the economic value of their research and grow their ideas into successful companies. We do this by providing fully functional state-of-the-art laboratories complete with technical and business support services allowing our researchers and scientists to interact with the business community.
Our Facilities MBIC offers approximately 7000 square feet of space including common facilities such as meeting space, boardroom and offices. All of our labs are secure and equipped with chemical-resistant lab benching, sinks with RO water, chemical fume-hoods with flammable storage cupboards and utilities to satisfy all equipment requirements. Our wet labs range in size from 415 to 915 square feet, while our dry labs are 225 square feet.
Our Thinking We know that it takes more than a great physical location to develop your business. We know that access to expertise, advice and support are equally important. That’s why we offer our clients the services of the Golden Horseshoe Biosciences Network (GHBN), located within the MBIC. The Network is the catalyst for all business and support services. Through the GHBN we connect researchers with the business community, put entrepreneurs in touch with venture capitalists and identify opportunities and links with government incentive programs. We make the contacts so you can maximize your commercial potential to get your business up and running.
Our Promise If you’re an entrepreneurial researcher or starting up a life sciences company, then the McMaster Biosciences Incubation Centre is the place for you. We promise our clients a lot more than premium research facilities. We also promise to lend our expertise and experience to support and accelerate your commercialization efforts.
