Michael Evelegh, Ph.D., is President of MJE Medical Consulting. He has had 25 years of progressively responsible management experience in the medical device business and was most recently Executive Vice-President, Clinical and Regulatory Affairs for PreMD Inc.
Dr Evelegh has led international clinical trials working with government institutions, corporate partners, and key opinion leaders. We led the process which secured the first cleared tumor marker for breast cancer, the first recombinant test for syphilis and the first non-invasive medical device for the determination of skin cholesterol. We are experienced in all aspects of the product development process and have developed commercially successful products for heart disease, cancer, and infectious diseases.
Michael Evelegh obtained his Ph.D. in Immunology at McMaster University. He was subsequently awarded a postdoctoral fellowship from the National Cancer Institute of Canada where he studied molecular virology. Dr Evelegh belongs to several professional societies including: the American Association for Clinical Chemistry and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society.
In additional to his consulting role Dr Evelegh is an Assistant Professor (Part-Time) in the Department of Pathology at McMaster University and is a member of the board of the Golden Horseshoe Biosciences Network (a regional innovation network).
