McMaster to Announce Holder of Chair in Heavy Construction
HAMILTON, ON, May 27, 2011 … The inaugural holder of the new Chair in Heavy
Construction will be announced on Monday, May 30, 11:00 a.m. in the University
Club, Great Hall, at McMaster University. The Chair was established with the
support of $1,252,500 million raised by 13 regional construction organizations.
Three additional endowed chair appointments in the Department of Civil
Engineering will also be formally announced.

The Chair in Heavy Construction was established to provide leadership in
advancing innovation in the heavy-construction sector, attracting and
developing talent, and contributing to the advancement of a modern and durable
infrastructure in Ontario.
